Young-chan Ro lectures on Korean Christianity |

As part of the Institute for Korean Studies Lecture Series, Young-chan Ro, professor of Religious Studies and director of Liberal Studies at George Mason University, will lecture on "Korean Diaspora, Korean Christianity, and Cultural Challenge" on Friday, January 27 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in 0100 Page Hall. Ro will discuss the the unique phenomenon of Korean transmigration from cultural and religious perspectives.

Eugenia Lean lectures on "Men, Make-up and Chinese Modernity" |

The Institute for Chinese Studies continues its "Cultures in Contact" series with Eugenia Lean's lecture "Men, Make-up and Chinese Modernity: Chen Diexian's Recipes for Manufacturing Success in the Woman's World (Nvzi shijie) (1915)," which will be presented on Friday, January 27 at 1:30 p.m. in 056 Hagerty Hall. Lean will discuss the emergence of male readers and editors appropriating the woman's voice in Chinese women's magazines in the early 1900s.

Taste of OSU 2012 delivers international cuisine and cultural performances |

The Office of International Affairs, along with more than 30 Ohio State student organizations and the University Residences & Dining Services chefs, are coming together to prepare an evening of international food, exhibits and cultural performances for the campus community at the 2012 Taste of OSU, which is set for Friday, January 27 from 5 - 9 p.m. in the Ohio Union.
